Bio:
I am a South Sudanese residing in Kakuma, Kenya. I completed high school in 2021 with a D+ grade. Despite this, I am passionate about learning, and I hereby express a keen interest in pursuing any career. My background as a South Sudanese refugee in Kenya highlights there were challenges I have faced, including limited access to educational resources and opportunities. Despite these obstacles, my determination to learn and succeed is still commendable.
I desire to pursue higher education in communication which will fuel my aspiration to broaden my knowledge and skills. A Bachelor degree in General Studies will equip me with the necessary tools to effectively become a Computer Scientist, advocate for my community, and contribute positively to a society. Furthermore, I am a person with a diverse background and experiences as a refugee add a unique perspective to the field of communication, enriching discussions and promoting inclusivity.
Given my resilience, passion for learning, and potential to make a difference, I deserve the opportunity to pursue a Bachelor's degree in General Study through a scholarship. Investing in this education will not only empower me to achieve my dreams but also enable me to inspire others in similar circumstances, breaking the cycle of limited opportunities and creating a brighter future for myself and the community.
