I am a dedicated instructional designer with 10+ years’ experience collaborating with instructors / SMEs to creatively design curriculum, meticulously develop online (asynchronous / synchronous) and face-to-face courses (and some initial work on multi-modality/HyFlex course) that incorporate Universal Design principles, meet Section 508 accessibility standards, and reliably support learner-centered outcomes as suggested by Quality Matters and other best practices. Adult Learning Theories and Educational Psychology • ADDIE • Backwards Course Design • Universal Design for Learning (UDL) • Behaviorism, Cognitivism, Social Constructivism, Connectivism • Transparency in Learning and Teaching (TILT) • Culturally Responsive Pedagogy (CRP) I use these tools to create engaging and effective learning experiences, supplementary instructional materials, and formative and summative assessments, along with rubrics, that align with specific and measurable learning outcomes. Leveraging a strong background in educational technology, I utilize a variety of instructional technologies and elearning platforms to deliver interactive content and train faculty to better their teaching experience, and in turn better the learning experience of their students.
