That doesn't sound like the same thing. I'm asking for a toggle to be added to the "Total" column in the grade book. I'd like to be able to message students who are failing. 

To send individual inbox messages is very time-consuming when you have many students who fall in a certain grade range. It would be very helpful to Message Students Who and their observer. 

I agree. It would be nice to link the Observer in the 'Message Students Who' from New Analytics or else add "Message Students Who" to the Total column in the grade book with the option...
