Impact Support Centre Button Customization

The Impact Support Centre provides contextualized support and empowers students and faculty to find answers to their questions in their moment of need. Our users have easy access to the Support Centre through the Impact Support Centre button that appears within their learning management environments. We have found that some institutions prefer to have this button’s appearance and behavior customized to fit their needs. These changes can include but are not limited to:

 

  • Appearance of the button (colors, icons, text, size, etc.)
  • Positioning and location of the button on the LMS screen
  • Behavior of the button (draggability, expandability, etc.)

 

For this reason, we are releasing our new Support Centre button customization feature! Customers will be able to edit their button appearance and behavior from right within their Impact dashboard. 

Previously, the button was only able to be customizable to fit the institution's needs via a support ticket submission and manual overrides. To make this process more seamless for our customers and our Impact support team, we developed the support button customization area within the Impact dashboard. 

You can find the support button customization options by heading over to your Impact Support tab, and then navigating to the design screen.

From there you will be able to customize your Impact Support Centre buttons appearance and behavior and save your changes. If you have previously worked with the Impact team to customize your support button style, switching to this new custom button design will override any previous support button styling that may have been implemented. Please consult with your CSM before making any changes if you are not sure about your previous customization changes.

Please note if you are using Blackboard Ultra or Ultra Courses then these button stylings will not apply.
