Enhancing Your Mastery Connect Experience: Three Updates to Tracker Creation and Management

We understand that creating and managing Mastery Trackers is essential for gathering accurate insights into your students’ progress, and we're committed to making this process smoother and more efficient.

That’s why we’re excited to share three key updates that will simplify workflows for both teachers and administrators, ultimately saving you valuable time so that you can get the results you need to support your students’ mastery.

 

Update 1: District Approved Cores


Selecting the right Core & Class can be challenging, but is critical to ensuring that your students are assessing toward the correct standards. For example, if I am a Language Arts teacher in Utah, should I choose the Common Core, Utah Standards for 2016, or Utah Standards for 2023? These options all seem reasonable, but making an incorrect choice can lead to confusion and issues with data reporting.

Facilitate alignment with the correct standards by ensuring that teachers only have access to approved cores when creating trackers, curriculum maps, or assessments. This eliminates the need to sift through extensive lists, making it easier to find the correct core for your district.

Update 2: Manage Teacher Tracker Creation


Occasionally, teachers need to move quickly to get ready for district assessments. When doing so, it is easy to accidentally recreate the tracker. Unfortunately, this results in tracker duplication, which is confusing for the teachers, students, and for administrator reporting.

Prevent accidental duplicate Trackers and streamline insights at the district level. With this setting, district administrators can toggle on or off teachers’ ability to create their own trackers.

Update 3: In-App Tour of Tracker Creation


Creating Trackers is a process that occurs only a few times a year for most Mastery Connect teachers. We want to make sure it is as easy as possible when you need to do it. Get real-time support when creating new Trackers with an in-app tour that walks you through every step of the Tracker creation process

While these updates mark significant progress, they’re just the first steps in our journey toward creating a more robust and intuitive Tracker creation and management process. Our future target is to dramatically streamline this experience for teachers, making it simpler and more reliable to manage assessment delivery both in the classroom and at the district-scale.
