We are pleased to announce a strategic update to our data handling process for weblogs on the CD2 platform, effective immediately. This upgrade involves transitioning to a more robust data source, ensuring enhanced data integrity and reliability without altering your current interaction or integration with the system.

Key Aspects of the Transition:

  • No Data Schema Change: The structure of the data remains consistent with no changes.
  • No Data Freshness Change: The timeliness and update frequency of the data will continue as per the existing standards.
  • No Data Content Change: There will be no alteration in the type of data provided.
  • No Change in Access Methodology: The established methods for accessing data will remain unchanged.

Rationale for Change:

This improvement was initiated in response to feedback regarding intermittent data inconsistencies reported by several users, such as missing data points for specific time periods. Our new data source addresses these issues, ensuring comprehensive and continuous data availability.

Temporary Adjustment to API Responses:

To facilitate a smooth transition, any API requests that include the date of August 1, 2024, within their scope will temporarily receive an additional day of data. This measure is designed to guarantee data continuity and prevent any gaps during the switch.

Resolution of Known Issues:

Furthermore, we have resolved a longstanding issue affecting sequential data downloads. From today onwards, the API will adhere to documented behaviors, effectively filtering out requests with invalid time frames to enhance the overall user experience.

We are committed to providing you with the highest quality data and ensuring that our systems support your analytical and operational needs seamlessly. Should you have any questions or require further assistance, please do not hesitate to reach out.

Thank you for your continued trust.
