The Mastery Item Bank Supplemental standards alignments to the South Carolina College- and Career-Ready Standards ELA 2023 were originally targeted for the end of the year. However, the standards are more complex than originally anticipated and are notably different from the previous standards. To mitigate the difference between standards sets, South Carolina educators have been recruited as subject matter experts to ensure all items are tightly aligned and meet the needs of educators in the state.
As a result, the targeted delivery date is moving to the end of March 2024. This will allow for the additional time needed to review all alignments thoroughly so Mastery Item Bank Supplemental customers can continue to use the item bank to effectively assess South Carolina students' understanding of ELA content.
