Can you upload multiple QTI packages into one Item bank?
I am creating one big end of year test. I am testing on 14 different units. In each of those units I have 4-5 quizzes. I am trying to combine the quizzes for each of the units into one Item bank so that the final test will pull randomly from that item bank.
Here is what I have done and where my question is. I have created a new item bank for unit 1. I have exported my unit 1 quiz 1 into a QTI package and then imported it into my new item bank for unit 1. I then exported my unit 1 quiz 2 into a QTI Package, but when I tried to import that quiz into my new item bank for unit 1 the "Import content" Button is greyed out.
So is it not possible to import multiple QTI packages into a new item bank? If it is not possible is there another work around?
Hi @MADISONJENKINS,
I think that you're correct about importing, a note on the How do I import questions from a QTI package into ... - Instructure Community - 966 guide says, "You can also add a QTI package to an empty item bank that has already been created" (bold emphasis mine).
A different approach that should work, though it may be slower and more tedious would be to add each of your existing quiz questions into the item bank, as described in the How do I add content to an item bank in New Quizze... - Instructure Community - 587 guide.
I hope this will help you a bit, even though it may take more time for you to do, I think you can eventually accomplish your goal. Let us know if works for you.
-Chris
