Can anyone point me to the product release or update about moderating attempts in New Quizzes that now allows for time extensions etc. to current, in progress attempts? I'm having a hard time finding anything. We are in the middle of finals and it appears we can now manage current attempts or reopen attempts and add time. With us missing this information, we are scrambling a bit with our processes to support students. I'd love to see when these features were updated and released. Thank you!

This feature is on the New Quizzes Roadmap...Next Q3 2024-Q4 2024.
Until this is available, @emily_smith2 posted a workaround in the [New Quizzes] Extra Time while Quiz in Progress:
@BritLewis The moderate page in new quizzes allow for accommodations which is new and a moderate option which is similar to classic quizzes. The difference between the two is that changes to time extension with accommodations will be applied to every quiz created with new quizzes in the course whereas the moderate option will only apply to the current quiz you editing and includes giving extra attempts. The guides below will help.
Thank you for the resources! But, I was referencing (and perhaps I stated my original question poorly) the ability to now add extra time, adjust availability dates, etc. for attempts currently in progress. Previously, these types of changes only applied to next attempts, not current...but working through finals we are discovering the ability to moderate current, in progress attempts.

I'm saying we are seeing this just-in-time feature/behavior in our instance right now. For example, during our finals we had an instructor re-open an attempt at the point that was past the time limit and past the "available until" date/time. However, the student was able to resume her attempt 3+ hours after beginning it when she originally was only given 2.5 hours AND we were past the original "available until" date/time. I have documented the examples I have encountered, and I am working with our CSM team.
Additionally, I believe the guides are reading differently. I've read them so many times, and I swear they used to reference certain changes only applying to a student's initial attempt if they haven't started the exam, otherwise the changes would be applied to future attempts. But, reading through them recently I'm only seeing a phrase like this one time. At this point, I may just be going crazy trying to keep up New Quizzes and I may be completely wrong. Haha!
Don't get me wrong, these are welcomed changes. However, like I stated previously, finding out about them in the middle of finals was a bit of a struggle.
@BritLewis Ah that may sense. I agree it is lacking there. Sounds like it coming soon.
