Are you wanting to compare how your class/school/district did on multiple assessments? If so, you’ll love the new Assessment Compare feature in Mastery Connect! Depending on one’s role, users can now choose as many assessments as you would like to compare, including comparing benchmarks to formative assessments, comparing the same standard, or comparing trackers across different assessments. Accessing Assessment Compare
There are a few different ways to get to access the Assessment Compare feature in Mastery Connect.
- All Users
- Overview Report
- Select an assessment from the assessment section of the Overview Reports, then select Assessment Compare
- Administrators (District and School Level)
- Benchmark Reports
- Open a benchmark report and then select Assessment Compare
- Formative Assessment Reports
- Open a formative assessment report and then select Assessment Compare
- Teachers
- Item Analysis Report
- On the Item Analysis Report select Assessment Dashboard, then select Assessment Compare
Selecting Assessments to Compare
On the Assessment Compare page you can use the filters to search by assessment name or by assessment features such as subject, core, and class.
- Find and select all assessments you want to compare
Pro Tip:
- Compare assessments that include the same standards
- Make sure you have all assessments selected before choosing Compare Assessments
- Teachers can only compare benchmarks if Secure Benchmarking mode is turned off
Assessment Compare Features
Each role in Mastery Connect has a different dashboard, so based on one’s role you may see the following features:
- Overview
- Standards
- Schools (District Admin Only)
- Trackers (School Admin/Teacher View)
- Demographics
- Students
Pro Tip:
- Use the Expanded view when you are using a small screen or want to see more in one view
- Use Filters to isolate to specific criteria in your data
- Save the comparison you’ve created by using the Save button
FINAL THOUGHTS
The new Assessment Compare feature really enables users to take a deeper look into your data! And, with the added filters you can also dive into different views, and don’t forget to save dashboards you want to return back to at a later time!
