This behavior has been resolved and deployed to the production environment as of 8/14/24.

Description

RegEx blanks with no text break analysis reports.

Expected Behavior

Analysis report should process regular expression blanks.

Workaround

No workaround exists at this time.

Steps to Reproduce

  1. create a New Quiz

  2. Add a “Fill in the Blank” question

  3. Add a “Regular Expression” blank

  4. Leave the blank in the RCE empty (`` instead of `my blank text`)

  5. Enroll enough students to generate a report (4 should be enough)

  6. Take the quiz as the students

  7. Generate an analysis report

  8. You will get the message An error has occurred while generating this report. Please try again.
