[OPEN] Adding a criterion to a rubric after assessing students gives page error when bulk downloading rubric

Description

  • When a rubric is updated to add a criterion after it has already been used to assess students on an assignment, attempting to download the assessments using the “Bulk Download Rubrics” option in the gradebook gives a page error.

Expected Behavior

  • Instead teachers should be able to download rubric assessments after editing the rubric to add new criteria

Workaround

No workaround exists at this time.

Steps to Reproduce

Prerequisites: A course with a student enrolled, and an assignment with a rubric linked.

  1. Fill out the rubric for the student and assignment and save the assessment

  2. Edit the rubric from the assignment page to add a new criterion

  3. Go to the gradebook and select the “Bulk Download Rubrics” option for the assignment

  4. Note the page error and undefined method `[]' for nil error report which is generated
