This behavior has been resolved and deployed to the production environment as of 12/5/25.
Description
External tool assignments are now seeing the value “null” passed back when in a Blue Print Master even when a due date is set. This is breaking the assignments within the master courses.
It's possible this is due to the lack of enrollments within these courses.
Expected Behavior
Assignments should not break.
Workaround
No workaround exists at this time.
Steps to Reproduce
Prerequisite: Have a 1.3 tool with the variable added to the key and a Blueprint master

Create an external tool assignment, set at least one due-date, and save.

Check the payload as the assignment loads and check the value passed in the launch.
