Colorado is famous for several things, but one of which was the gold rush of 1859. There were legends of miners from all over, but there was one big fellow from Louisiana who was particularly famous, Big John:
Every mornin' at the mine you could see him arrive.
He stood six-foot-six and weighed 245.
He was kinda broad at the shoulder and narrow at the hip,
And everybody knew ya didn't give no lip to Big John.
Nobody seemed to know where John called home,
He just drifted into town and stayed all alone.
He didn't say much, kinda quiet and shy,
And if you spoke at all, you just said hi to Big John.
If you've heard a story like this one before,
You know things aren't looking up for that John anymore.
But another Big John just rolled into town,
So take a quick selfie with 'em if you see him around -- Big John.
He's not quite as tall and not nearly as mean,
But he's hanging around InstructureCon 2016.
I heard he came from Texas -- that big ol' state.
He brought his wife and kids along as a date, for Big John.
If you've never ever seen this new Big John,
just take a quick look at his Canvas Community icon.
This new Big John isn't nearly as shy,
so just walk on up, and then say "hi," to Big John.
(Big John, big John)
Big bad John (big John)
