The Business School Roundtable is a forum dedicated to helping new and existing Canvas users reach the academic and strategic objectives that are unique to the business school environment. Attendees will represent national and international business schools of all sizes. Administrators, support staff, instructors, and end users are all welcome to participate. We will have presentations from four business schools that have been using Canvas for four or more years. The moderators will discuss the good, the bad, and the ugly of their experiences, with time for questions and group conversation. Presenters include Columbia Business School, Darden Business School, Wharton Business School, and UNC Kenan-Flagler Business School. This forum is intended to meet the needs of a diverse group of business schools and while the focus will be on business school related topics, all of those interested are welcome to attend. The more the merrier! Click to Register ($50) |
We would love to hear from attendees! Please share any questions or thoughts you might have before, during and after the presentation! |
This year's Roundtable will be at Summit III (Inn at Keystone), the blue dot in the Mountain House Village dark green region on KEYSTONE RESORT & CONFERENCE MAPS (instcon16). We'll have an introduction followed by two presentations on migration and calendaring, and then a panel discussion on needs of online business programs. After an intermission midway through, we'll have breakout discussions to help each other learn more about the functional areas involved in supporting Canvas, as well as the lifecycle of adoption.
Please feel free to make any suggestions or ask any questions! We want this to be a very interactive session.
Here is my slide deck for today's migration discussion:

Also, I've again refreshed my 2014 presentation for this same event, focusing on effective use of groups in a Canvas course for business school team assignments:

Looks like a great deck, Rob! Wish I could be there this year!
Thanks, Paul! It was awesome to hear from your colleague @sdemartino .
Today's was the most interactive, and most international, Roundtable we've ever had. Really stoked!
Many of you who attended (thanks again!) expressed interest in continuing the Roundtable conversation here in the Community. To help make this happen, please vote up the idea here:
It would be extremely beneficial for us to be able to hide people in the roster that students don't need to see for various reasons. For those who might find this functionality useful who haven't yet voted to please do so. Thanks to all who have voted. I am hoping we can get enough votes for this to go on for consideration.
