Impact Release Notes (2024-10-22)
In this Impact release, new features include Phase 2 of LTI Usage and the Navigation Redesign. New content is included for Canvas. Updated features include Tool Adoption and Course- and Term-based Messaging. Other updates include accessibility improvements for LTI Tools, the Support Center, and LTI Usage.

LTI Usage
LTI Usage Phase 2
Blog | Powerful New Capabilities Added to LTI Usage |
Users can now export data from any table within LTI Usage. This allows users to manipulate and take action on data outside of the application as needed. It empowers users to combine this data with other sources for more institution-specific, complex, and comprehensive insights. Users can expect to find this export functionality in the installed tools table on the overview page, unique users table, sub-account usage table, and course usage table within the drill-down modal window of the installed tools table.

Dropdown Menus
On the Tool Adoption page, dropdown menus and titles are updated to Numerical presentation with a description of each option and Presentation over time with a description of each option.

The User Groups dropdown in messages, campaigns, and walkthroughs shows Courses and Terms with their correct types indicated in parentheses (e.g., "course" or "term").

LTI Tools
The following are accessibility improvements to LTI Tools:
- Filtering dropdowns display labels.
- The following screen reader alerts and status messages are triggered in the following scenarios:
- while the move to group is loading
- once the move to group action is finished
- while the ungroup action is loading
- once the ungroup action is finished
- while the filtering is loading
- once the filtering is completed and announces the number of results
- while the search is loading (main page and pop-ups)
- once the search is completed and announce the number of results (main page and pop-ups)
- once a column visibility change is applied
- once the column visibility is set back to default
- while the create new group action is loading
- once the create new group action is finished
- while the delete group action is loading
- once the delete group action is finished
- while the placements' number is refreshing inside the Move to a new group and in the Edit LTI group dialog upon the discovery rules' settings

Support Center
When users reach a combobox, the screen reader announces its purpose.
LTI Usage
The following are accessibility improvements for LTI Usage:
- The Filter button displays before the Show filter details and the Clear filter buttons in tab order for screen reader and keyboard-only users.
- Once a table’s sorting is changed, the screen reader and keyboard focus remain in the table.
- After changing pages, the screen reader and keyboard focus remain at the pagination element.
- After changing rows/pages, the screen reader and keyboard focus remain at the rows/page button.
Fixed Bugs |
- On the Cavas Unpublished/Publish button, the context for the Unpublished text stays recognized for a Hint and does not close the Helpitem unless chosen.
- Password validation requirements work as intended with users needing a password containing at least 8 characters, at least one uppercase letter, and contain a number or symbol. [New Fixed Bug Added 2024-10-24]
