Impact Release Notes (2023-10-25)

In this Impact release, an updated feature is included for Messages. Accessibility updates are implemented for the Inline Editor, General Settings, Campaigns, and Walkthroughs. Other updates include disconnecting LMS users in Users & Permissions.

View Only Permissions

Users with View Only permissions do not have access to the Reset User Visibility button.

Accessibility

Inline Editor

The following accessibility update is implemented in the Inline Editor:

• After closing the Inline Editor, Keyboard-only focus returns to the bottom bar so the user can reselect or choose to exit the Inline Editor.

General Settings

The following accessibility updates are implemented in General Settings:

• Tooltips previously labeled as buttons are now labeled as tooltips.
• When closing a drop-down with the ESC key, the focus is reset to the parent element item that triggered the drop-down to open.
• The Insights section drop-down displays the Screen Reader label as ‘Week number’.
• After closing the LTI Key modal, Keyboard-only and Screen Reader focus returns to the button that triggered the modal to open.

Campaigns

The following accessibility update is implemented in Campaigns:

• Draggable table elements are visible to Keyboard-only users but hidden from Screen Reader users.
• Campaign Templates with scrollable content are accessible to Keyboard-only users.

Walkthroughs

The following accessibility update is implemented in Walkthroughs:

• The Upvotes and Downvotes images in Walkthrough Insights Ratings are marked and labeled as Upvotes and Downvotes for Screen Reader users.
• If no data is present for Walkthrough Ratings, the hyphen is labeled as ‘no data yet’ for Screen Reader users.

Users & Permissions

Disconnect LMS Users

Administrators can disconnect LMS users from their Impact users in Users & Permissions.

Fixed Bugs

• In the Feature Permission Groups, the Owner field can be edited.
• In Blackboard Ultra, walkthroughs display and progress through steps as expected.
• Tool Adoption Insights End date defaults to today and the Start date to 3 months prior.
• Tool Adoption reports table populates as expected. [Added 2023-10-26]
