Impact Release Notes (2023-07-18)

In this Impact release, updated features include chart legends in Insights as well as linked pop-up and systray messages within messages, articles, and walkthroughs. Accessibility updates are implemented for the Impact Login page, Impact Dashboard, and Walkthroughs.

Insights chart legends display appropriately with icons and color codes.

Messages

Embedded Pop-up and Systray Messages

Pop-ups and systray messages can be linked inside of messages, articles, and walkthroughs. The nested pop-up and/or systray message is required to be published but does not need to be assigned to a context in order to display. The original message, article, or walkthrough containing the linked pop-up and/or systray message remains visible until the user actively closes it.

Login Page

On the Impact Login page, the image is marked as decorative and not reachable by Screen Reader users.

Impact Dashboard

Throughout the Impact Dashboard, dash characters are added to empty numerical cells in tables and are read by the Screen Reader.

Walkthroughs

On the Walkthroughs page, adding/cloning steps are communicated to the Screen Reader users when creating a walkthrough.

Fixed Bugs

• The Observer category in the Assign to Users drop-down menu is available to Canvas Instances only and is removed from Blackboard Instances.
• The Support Center displays appropriately when launched from Canvas Gradebook: Individual View.
• The Inline Editor displays appropriately and the drop-downs and search fields operate without lag.
• Hint messages that are set to open on hover display appropriately for Canvas and Blackboard Users.
• Canvas Course Activity Report displays the appropriate value for Level of Student Participation. [Added 2023-07-19]
