Mental health awareness is an ever-growing topic in the education field. In honor of World Mental Health Day on October 10th, Instructure will be providing a Mental Wellness Hub and Impact is releasing three new campaigns to help institutions engage in the conversation about mental health awareness in their courses.

There are two new and two existing campaigns for instructors and one for students that help facilitate the dialogue regarding communicating with students, mental health awareness, and increasing emotional intelligence.

Instructor campaigns:

The purpose of the campaign is to inspire instructors to include open dialogue and encouragement around the topic of mental wellness in their classrooms.

Leverage Canvas tools such as Modules and Inbox to boost emotional intelligence and achieve an engaging and safe learning environment.

Instructors are given tips and suggestions to help avoid grading fatigue and bias using Canvas tools and features.

This campaign empowers Instructors to create an engaging and interactive learning experience for Students and to leverage Canvas tools to reach Students depending on the content of the message that needs to be communicated.

Student campaigns:

The purpose of the campaign is to empower students to incorporate mental wellness tips and suggestions into their learning experience.

Measure the Impact

Our OOTB campaigns offer a set of monitor categories to help you track adoption progress. You can use the generated insights to make data-driven decisions.

Based on the tool adoption outcomes from the initial campaign, you can target specific user groups according to their need for further support. For example, you can launch a more targeted campaign to increase adoption of online assessment tools only among the users who need further guidance, without causing repetition and cognitive overload to those instructors who are already on board.
