Hi everyone!
I'm struggling with the Canvas Padlet Assignment.
I can:
However, when the user has added to the Padlet there is no way to Submit the assignment.
Am I missing a step in the setup?
I see that this is an older post. I have used Padlets with the whole class adding to one Padlet. The Padlet is embedded to the Canvas assignment page and I aslo add a link to the Padlet on the Canvas page. Students don't need to "submit" because their contribution is on the Padlet and I just mark it as complete. (I think I choose No Submission on the assignment.)
I'm not sure how to go about giving each person their own Padlet on Canvas.
Hi!
There is an LTI for Padlet but other than that, to give each student their own Padlet I would have students go straight to Padlet, complete assignment, come back to Canvas, submit as a link.
Hope that helps!
We subscribe to backpack and I've tested the LTI, but honestly it's just better in my case to embed Padlets onto Canvas pages or have students submit them as links. Sometimes I want students to embed Padlets in their discussion posts. I typically have a Padlet introductions assignment at the beginning of the term. This week in my consumer motivation class I'm having students document a retail experience and embed a Padlet into their initial posts. Sometimes I embed a communal Padlet onto an assignment page and have students claim a column and curate content throughout the week. In all of these cases, the LTI really isn't for me and embedding is quite simple and effective.
You may have figured this out already, but I'm posting this so others may find the answer as well (because it's hard to find). We're working on setting up Padlet integration right now, and our Padlet rep has told us that grade passback is not currently supported, so there isn't a way for students to "submit" the assignment via Canvas and have Canvas identify the submission.
Facutly would need to open the padlet in a new window and then manually enter the grades into the Canvas Grades tool.
According to our rep the grade passback functionality is on the roadmap for 2024.
