Mysteriously, 3 of my students ended up with a login that looks like a random set of numbers. they are now unable to log in (we are using FFT). The error message they get is below, which is troubling - totally unable to reset their access. Help!
You requested a confirmation of your password for logging into Canvas.
This address is associated with the login, "101282375284145987666".
The password for this login should have been given to you by the system administrators at Free For Teacher, and Instructure doesn't have access to your password. If your password is not working, please contact the system administrators about changing or verifying your password.

Hi @KarenDuBois -
I was able to update two students in your course, following the pattern in place with email addresses. Please let me know if there are additional users that need to be adjusted.

Hello Kristini, it happened to me too. The name appears correct if I check on the profile. Why it happens?

Can you help me? Thanks!

Hi @Brapacc
This happens because your students are using Google (generally) option to authenticate into FFT, and what ends up occurring is the system is recognizing this as an anonymous user/generates a new user ID when they do this. Hope this helps.
