Elevate Standards Alignment Release Notes (February 2025)

Release notes outline upcoming customer-impacting changes that are expected to be displayed in production environments. Please note that features considered for future development are not included in the notes.

Alignment Standards App: Batch Copy Alignments

 

Summary

The Batch Copy Alignments feature allows you to copy alignments for a collection of learning objects to one or many learning standard documents.

Batch Copy Alignments enhance efficiency by significantly reducing the time needed for aligning learning objects, allowing more focus on strategic tasks. Additionally, it streamlines workflows by eliminating complex workarounds and engineering dependencies, integrating directly into the Alignment App interface. This automation drives cost savings by optimizing resources and reducing manual effort.

 

Feature Workflow

Users can batch copy alignments for a collection of learning objects.

View Create New Batch Copy AlignmentsView Create New Batch Copy AlignmentsIn the Dashboard, users can view the Batch Copy Alignments tile [1]. To copy alignments for collections of learning objects, click the Create New button [2].

Users must select a collection by clicking the Load Collection button [1]. Users can view their list of existing collections or create a new collection and then select the learning object collection. The Learning Object Collection is the group of Learning Objects you want to update alignments for.

Users must select a source document by clicking the Select Document button [2].

Users can select the alignments to copy. The Source Document is where you have existing alignments to the Learning Objects that you want to leverage in copying alignments to other documents.

Users must select a standard collection by clicking the Load Collection button. Users can view the collection of standards. The Standard Collection is the set of Standards that you want to copy alignments to (or create alignments for).

 

View Batch Copying Rules to FollowView Batch Copying Rules to FollowUsers must select the Relationship type that will be used in copying alignments. Users select between Exact Derivatives, All Derivatives, or Crosswalks by clicking the Using drop-down menu [1]. Exact Derivatives and All Derivatives are defined as previously described in similar functionality in Align by Learning Object. The new option of Crosswalks will copy to all standards that are crosswalked from the Source document to the standards in the Standard Collection. 

Users can also click the Restrict copy to Learning Object grade(s) checkbox [2] and the Restrict copy to deepest alignable standards checkbox [3].

By default, users are sent an email when the copy is complete. Users can deselect the Email me when copy is complete checkbox if they wish to opt-out. [4].

Click the Copy Alignments button [5].

A confirmation box with a summary of the Batch displays [1]. Click the Confirm button to launch the Batch Copy Alignments process [2].

After confirmation, users are sent to the Manage Batch Copy Alignments Dashboard where they can check the status or review previous requests. Clicking the info button displays a summary of each request.

To go directly to the Manage Batch Copy Alignments Dashboard from the main Dashboard, click the Manage button.
