Product Update
Custom Filters
A recent release to the Alignment App now allows users to filter their Learning Objects (assets) by additional properties, including custom properties. For example, if you have additional metadata associated with an item bank, such as DOK level or item type, these properties can be configured to narrow your prediction results. Standards Updates
Consolidation of NGSS
Alterations to Origin/Derivative Relationships
The Next Generation Science Standards is a unique set of standards that has multiple components that build upon each other. While we’ve always made NGSS Arranged by Disciplinary Core Idea (DCI) and NGSS Arranged by Topic available to our clients who license NGSS, we have also captured the Appendices/Matrices of the Three Dimensions—Disciplinary Core Ideas, Crosscutting Concepts, and Science & Engineering Practices. The documents below can be added to your license upon request, or for all new NGSS subscribers, they will now be included as part of our offering.

Existing Science Document Additions for Stateso
Three Dimensions
In the past, we have captured the by DCI and by Topic standard arrangements of states that adopted or based their standards on NGSS. These documents, in many cases, have not reflected the foundational dimensions of SEP, CCC, and DCI statements. In order to better support our clients’ needs, we are now working to capture the state-specific three dimensions documents if they are different from the National version of NGSS.

Florida > Next Generation Sunshine State Standards (NGSSS) > Social Studies (2008 r2021)
Moved/Changed Civics and Government and Holocaust Education Sections
When we originally captured the new Civics and Government (Starting in 2023-2024) and Holocaust Education (Starting in 2023-2024) strands, we captured them as their own sections per the source file. Florida now has a new source file, which includes those standards as separate strands within their existing grade level sections. As a result, we will be moving those standards into the appropriate grade levels.
The only section that will not move is the grades 6-8 Holocaust Education (Starting in 2023-2024). That section name title will be altered, but the standards will not move.
