No Permalink in in New Discussions

Again, testing New Discussions to see if we can release it to our institution. The "Click to view" link in an email notification for a discussion forum takes us directly to the post via permalink in classic discussions. However, in New Discussions, the "Click to view" link simply takes to the forum question and then you have to scroll from there to find the post (or use the search bar).  Any plans to make this a part of New Discussions?  Between this and not being able to reply via e-mail, there's no way we can release this to our institution.  Yet, we are missing out on the benefit of having newest posts at the top which is something we requested 6-7 years ago.
