I recently joined a university and am working with a person who developed a course using Canvas a number of years ago. As time moved along, some old pages are no longer used but were left in the course, but not published, 'just in case'. The problem with this method is that when I ran the Course Link Validator, a large number of issues were found, but the issues were meaningless.
As such, I suggest/request that a feature be added so that identified pages are not checked by the Course Link Validator. Two ways of doing this pop into mind:
- Have a check box on each page, like the Published check box, that when checked the Course Link Validator skips the page. This approach would be somewhat of a pain to manage.
- Create a 'sub-directory' under Pages and all pages in said folder are not checked. This should be easy to implement and use.
