As part of our ongoing efforts to streamline content and make it easier for members to connect with others using similar products, the Instructure Community will close the Discussions & Announcements group on February 7, 2025.
This decision reflects the transition of Discussions and Announcements enhancements into the core Canvas LMS experience since their general availability in July 2024. We value the rich conversations and insights shared here and want to ensure they continue seamlessly in other areas of the Community, notably the Canvas LMS product hub.

- All content from this group with activity since July 1, 2024, will remain accessible for reference or ongoing discussions. For continued visibility and engagement, the items in this Feature User Group with recent activity will be relocated to the Canvas LMS Forum or the Canvas LMS Blog.
- You’re encouraged to share requests for new functionality in Canvas Ideas, and we’ll continue to collect your valuable feedback.
- Discussions and Announcements remain active areas of development within Canvas LMS, and Instructure Product managers will continue engaging with you through Release Q&As and updates in the Product Blog.
