We’re all storytellers. Whether it’s a teaching win, a clever workaround, or a lesson learned the hard way—your story has the power to spark ideas, build empathy, and help others grow. In the Instructure Community, blogging is one of the best ways to share what you know and what you’ve experienced.
Every day, Community members write posts that highlight creative practices, successful implementations, feature previews, and personal reflections. If you’ve ever had a moment where you thought “I wish someone had told me that earlier”—that’s probably a blog waiting to be written.
What Can I Blog About?
The short answer? Anything that adds value. The blogs in the Instructure Community aren’t just product tips—they’re full of context, creativity, and connection.
Some popular blog types include:
- Best practices from your school, district, or organization
- Success stories that highlight outcomes, collaboration, or growth
- Personal reflections about learning, leadership, and change
- Feature previews or sneak peeks you’re piloting or testing
- Tips and tricks that others might not know about
- Event recaps from InstCon or webinars
If you have an idea that could help even one other person, it’s worth sharing. You don’t need to be an expert—just someone with experience and a story to tell. And as a bonus, blogging in the Community can earn you badges and recognition for your contributions!
How to Get Started

- Navigate to the group where you want your blog to live
- Click the “Write a Blog” button
- Add your title, content, and any images or links you want to include
- Use labels to help readers filter and find your post (Note - not all blogs have them available.)
