New Features |
User Library Management
Studio admins can view and manage media in all user libraries in their institution's account. This update streamlines admin management of user libraries and replaces the masquerade option.
Note: This feature is currently available only for root admins.
On the Media Management page, click the View Library option to view a specific user’s library.
Admins can view media, manage individual media, bulk manage media, and add media to the user’s library.
Read product manager Akos’ blog for additional information about this feature!
Inactive Filter Option
In the Media Management filter tray, admins can select to view only media that is inactive. This filter option allows admins to easily identify content from inactive users and manage content storage.
Click the Inactive checkbox to view only inactive users.
Note: A user is considered inactive if they have not launched Studio in at least one year.
Media Management Sub-Account Support
Sub-account admins have access to the Admin Media Management interface. This update provides sub-account admins with a holistic view of teacher and student media usage.
Note: Sub-account admins in Canvas do not inherit sub-account admin in Studio access by default. Permissions in Studio must be enabled by the Studio admin.
In the Media Management page, sub-account admins can view and manage media sorted by the course(s) where it is used in the Courses tab, and by title and duration in the Media tab.
