In this Studio release (March 25), Studio introduces automatically-generated captions for media uploaded after March 25, 2024. This update eliminates the need to request captions for newly uploaded media files. YouTube and Vimeo media uploads continue to require caption file uploads or manually created captions.

Automatic Caption Generation
For media uploaded after March 25, 2024, Studio automatically generates captions for all new media uploads.
When the file is complete, captions display in the Captions tab of the media detail page. This update eliminates the need to generate captions for new media uploads, and helps ensure media is accessible to all students.
