In this Studio release (September 19), new endpoints allow users to access Media Insights via the API.

API Insights Access

New endpoints allow users to access Media Insights via the API. 

The API enhancements enable users to extract media insights data from Studio. Two new Insights related endpoints have been released:

Get media insights overview for a perspective: This endpoint returns a CSV file containing video views, time viewed, unique viewers, and time based viewership data (Unique Viewers and Number of Plays in Studio UI).

Get all viewers' Insights data for a perspective: This endpoint returns a csv file containing user name, email, role(s), completion rate and time based completion data which is the same as the Viewers table in Studio UI.

Get perspectives belonging to a media: This endpoint is available to support the above queries when looking for the correct perspective_uuid.

A script has been added to the Studio GitHub project that helps extract the Insights data of all media in a course.
