I am the LMS Administrator. We have it set up so that an instructor can go to Canvas Studio / Settings / Conferences and have Zoom pipe recordings directly to Canvas Studio. I did this using the directions here:
https://community.canvaslms.com/t5/tkb/articleprintpage/tkb-id/studio/article-id/278
This morning I got email from Zoom App Marketplace <noreply-marketplace@zoom.us> subject line “Action required for Zoom Studio Cloud Recordings”. It said,
------------
Hi Carl Thelen,
Your webhook endpoint is not responsive, please review this email for details.
Zoom Studio Cloud Recordings
Cloud Recordings
Notification URL https://stmarys-ca.instructuremedia.com/api/conference/zoom_notification/recording_completed
Your webhook endpoint failed to respond to our validation request
If your webhook endpoint fails to respond to our validation requests 2 more times, we will stop sending webhooks to your webhook endpoint until you fix the issue.
------------
And some other stuff. Did anyone else get this email from Zoom? Were you able to make heads or tails of it? I was on chat with Zoom support for two hours, who finally suggested I email developer@soom.us. When I emailed it, I got a bounceback saying they weren't using it any more and go to the help site. Which is not very helpful.
So I thought I'd ask here.
Before I go back to tangling with the help site.
Is this familiar to anyone? Does anyone else allow Zoom recordings to go directly to a professor's Studio?
Cheers!
I am getting a very similar error. When I try to click on my endpoint - https://untdallas.instructuremedia.com/api/conference/zoom_notification/recording_completed I am getting a 404 error, which is what I am getting with yours as well.
At present, none of my users are able to authenticate with Zoom through Canvas Studio. I have spoken with Canvas Support and they recommended rebuilding the Zoom app as per the instructions at https://community.canvaslms.com/t5/Studio/How-do-I-configure-my-institution-s-Zoom-app-to-send-cloud... and that did not solve anything. Will be reaching back out to them shortly.
hi Carl,
Did you ever get this resolved? We have the integration as well. It's actually worked for a few years just fine, but sometime in the last few months, it stopped removing the files from Zoom (there's a checkbox on the studio side where you can tell it to remove the zoom recording after it's copied over to Canvas studio. I'm glad to connect with anyone!
I'm currently having a lot of issues with the Zoom to Studio connection. It worked fine for two years, then started missing a few recordings (morning typically). I was given the new instructions to set up the connection, which has failed. I've been bounced back and forth between Studio and Zoom support without a resolution for months. Our connection between Zoom and Studio is currently dead. It has been a long frustrating journey.
