I am an ASL teacher and we use Canvas Studio all the time. The way our district wants the videos submitted for final exams is with the link ( with our internet that is the way that does not fail to submit) and not through the studio option in the tool bar.
The issue that I currently have is that it takes about 5 steps to get the link created and copied and I have a lot of students with accommodations where that many steps is difficult for them to follow and remember and I am constantly having to reteach them the steps to get the link.
Is there a possibility to have a simple one click option for creating a link? If they could simply click the 3 dots on the video and click copy link right away they would have less issues getting their assignments submitted on time.
Greetings @RachelKuehn ,
Thank you for posting on the Instructure Community, and I apologize that nobody has reached out to you since you posted this back in December.
The short answer is no, there really isn't a way to simply click 'Share Link' without clicking the three dots and opening the Links tab and sharing an external link. I think it's set-up this way because institution admins are able to control if links can be shared and other things like that, and that's why they purposely developed it so it was all the one same menu, if that makes sense.
Even though this currently isn't available within Canvas Studio, if you are interested in this idea reaching the development team for possible updates in the future, I recommend writing an idea here: https://community.canvaslms.com/t5/Canvas-Ideas/idb-p/canvas-ideas
All the best,
Noah
