In this Canvas release (18 May), the Rich Content Editor features a Find and Replace plugin. When enabled, instructor and student avatars set in Canvas appear in BigBlueButton conferences. Additionally, when Exporting Course Content, New Quizzes are included in Common Cartridge exports and Course Content export files as XML file type.

Feature Workflow
Find and Replace Tool Link
In the Rich Content Editor, click the Tools drop-down menu [1], then select the Find and Replace link [2]. Additionally, the keyboard shortcut is command+F for Mac and control+F for Windows.
Find and Replace Modal
The Find and Replace modal displays and users can use the Find field [1] to enter keywords, then use the Replace with field [2] for the desired replacement. Users can use the Replace All button [3] to replace all items simultaneously or the Replace button [4] to replace a single item. If there are multiple items to replace, use the Previous [5] and Next[ [6] buttons to scroll through each individual item.

Unless otherwise noted, all feature options are opt-in and do not require any action by a Canvas admin until a feature's enforcement date is announced. Summary
When Exporting Course Content, New Quizzes are included in Common Cartridge exports and Course Content export files as XML file type allowing the import of existing quizzes to New Quizzes.

This update enhances efficiency by enabling instructors to export New Quizzes in Course Exports.
Feature Workflow
Course Exports Page
In Settings, when creating a course export, New Quiz files are exported as XML files. Previously, New Quizzes were exported as a JSON file type.
Import Content Page
When Importing Course Content, select the Content Type Common Cartridge 1.x Package or Canvas Course Export Package in the drop-down menu [1], then choose the .imscc file type [2].
Import Existing Quizzes to New Quizzes Option
Select the Import existing quizzes as New Quizzes checkbox.
Notes: The New Quizzes migration during course import/copy feature options must be enabled to display the checkbox. If this option is not chosen, Classic Quizzes will import as Classic Quizzes and New Quizzes will import as New Quizzes.

Note: Customer Success Managers can enable this feature upon request for customers utilizing the Premium Tier hosting for BigBlueButton.
