"Hide Grades" - Text needs to be clearer

There is a lot of content in the community about updates to the new Grade Posting Policy functionality so please forgive me if this has already been discussed. I would expect that it has been but I wasn't able to find the relevant thread.

Anyway...

The following text that appears when an instructor Hides grades in an assignment that is set to Automatically post is confusing. If you have already run up against this then you know that hiding the grades only hides existing grades. Any  grades that are entered subsequently are immediately released to the student and they receive a notification that their submission has been graded. This bit of information needs to be made clear in the text below. Maybe add a line that says, "Hiding grades only hides previously recorded grades. If you wish to hide all grades for this assignment, change the Grade Posting Policy to manual." or something like that.

It seems the new gradebook does not mute assignments the same way the old one did while using turnitin. Is there a bug between the two platforms? I've done everything right, and students can see me grading still as I use turnitin, not speedgrader. This never was the case before. The shorterm fix, change the post date on the turnitin side, but if course, the gradebook is now more work for teachers + having to do this on top of it. Any idea of Canvas is aware of this bug and plans to fix it? If anyone has any help with this, please email me amanda.harrison@csun.edu
