Hi friends.
I'm currently editing a course template* and was wondering if there was a way for designers to enter a date like Week 1, Wednesday so it would auto-populate in subsequent sections when it its published. Wishful thinking. I suppose. There must be a better way to avoid the manual process of changing dates every term, whether we put them in or our faculty must do it.
*Side note: Do we have an official name for them now? I know Master is a problematic term in our racially charged world. Blueprint?

It sounds like you are wondering about Blueprint courses. As a Blueprint Admin you can create a Blueprint Course and have information synced to the Associated Courses. One thing you can manage through those Blueprint Courses is Due Dates. Due Dates can sync from the Blueprint 'Master' or 'Parent' Course to Associated Courses, and you can set those Due Dates to be locked. https://community.canvaslms.com/t5/Instructor-Guide/How-do-I-lock-course-objects-in-a-blueprint-cour...

Hello @jmarrapodi ...
Are you asking about assignment availability dates? Assignment due dates? Both? If so, there is a screen available within the "Assignments" index page where you can set all of this information on one screen. How do I bulk update due dates and availability da... - Instructure Community (canvaslms.com). This now includes the ability to also specify a time of day. Is this what you are looking to accomplish? Something else? If I've missed the boat in trying to answer your question, please provide some additional detail so we can work through this. Looking forward to hearing back from you. Take care!
Hi @Chris_Hofer and thanks for replying. Not really. I know we can do that all at once at the assignment page. That's what I do as a faculty member when I'm teaching. I'm wishing there was a way that I could set things up when I'm doing work as a designer building a course from scratch to be able to set things so Module 1 assignment automatically populates a due date of Week 1 Sunday at 11:59PM. Week 1 Discussion auto populates at Week 1 Wednesday at 11:59PM. Our due dates are standardized. That way when the admin sets up the course date range, the system would think "Oh, Sunday of Week One. That's xyz." and it could cascade through the course in one step that has to happen anyway vs. the painfully tedious course by course process we have to use if we do them all on our side, or for the faculty on their side. We launch over 100 courses at a time so it's a pretty big effort.
As a designer I have to put in actual calendar dates or leave it blank.
