Why is the comment section in Speed grader getting worse?
When grading I add all my comments on the side. I also save these comments. This year all my comments have no structure, they lost all spaces and paragraphs.
Please fix this issue. The comment section and saving the comments allows us to give valuable feedback to each student without spending too much time. If the comments are all in one paragraph, the students are unable to read the comments.
Even with the added accessibility checker, I have to do this for every comment I write.
This adds so much time to the grading.
Thanks

The newest "upgrade" to the comments section in SpeedGrader has had two effects:
What needs to happen is that the modified RCE should also be applied to comments made and stored in the Comments Library.

Thanks Susan,
I agree. The modified RCE should also be applied to comments made and stored in the Comments Library. This is imperative to saving time while grading
Hi @SusanNiemeyer and @mgebara-lamb,
I saw a few days ago that one of the Instructure product managers posted a comment that they're working on restoring line spacing of previous comments, that will hopefully apply to the comment library as well. You can see the comment at Re: Canvas Deploy Notes (2024-09-11) - Instructure Community - 613837 . There is no timeline, but hopefully it doesn't take too long to figure out a good solution.
Hope this helps!

Hi @mgebara-lamb ...
I'm not sure this is a direct answer to your question, but the partial RCE (Rich Content Editor) was added to the SpeedGrader on 9/11/2024. You can find more information on this at:
Canvas Deploy Notes (2024-09-11) - Instructure Community - 613734 (canvaslms.com)
Thanks Chris,
That's grade, but we should also be able to save the comments and they should remain foramatted.
