You may need to ask your instructor the specifics on how you are to record your video. However, there are tools within Canvas that do allow you to record a video online to submit to your instructor. Check out this Guide:

Another option that *might* be available to you is Canvas Studio. This is a paid add-on product from the same people that make Canvas, and your school would have to had purchased this product in order for you to use it. Here are a couple video tutorials on Studio:
