Using Canvas Outcomes and free-form comments

Our group is beginning to utilize Canvas Outcomes for reporting for ABET on a mastery (0-4) scale along with the previously utilized 0-100% scale for specific assignments. Utilization of free-form comments prevents the rubric from also being able to show the 0-4 scale options. With multiple graders and large class sizes, some of our instructors have preferred using the save comment feature on the free-form comments to help normalize grader's feedback. It would be useful to have part of the rubric function within the free-form comments option (0-100% scale) and the other half work with the pre-defined 0-4 scale selection options.

Hi @TravisJamesCar_,
I would suggest posting this as an official idea following the How do I create a new idea in the Instructure Comm... - Instructure Community - 2986 guide. I definitely see value in having some outcomes be free-form comments while having others just be the scaled feedback. I also know rubrics are being worked on by Instructure right now, so it's possible something like this would be included in that project.
