Submission Type Option not available when creating an Assignment

Good afternoon, 

I have two courses in Canvas: one works perfectly fine when creating and posting Assignments, the other not so much. The problem with the latter one is that the Submission Type option does now show at all when creating as Assignment. The only options it gives me are: Points, Assignment Group, Display Grade As, and Assigned Access. That's it. Is there anything I might have missed when configured the course?

Thank you for posting on the Instructure Community!

Do you by chance have the Display Grade As: Ungraded selected? If so, this will prevent you from creating submission types since you didn't actually make a graded assignment inside of Canvas. That said, you will need to select one of the other display grade options in order to have the submission options re-appear for you.
