Show comments after EACH question, rather than at quiz submission?

I am writing clinical simulations which requires providing types assessment data that the student have selected. I can include these in the comments under the correct answer, but Canvas will only allow the students to see these comments after the ENTIRE QUIZ is submitted rather than EACH QUESTION. I want to be able to have the students view the comments after EACH QUESTION is answered. Thanks!

This would be a nice feature to have in Canvas...I agree.  Unfortunately, I don't believe this is possible at this time.  In searching the Feature Ideas here in the Community, I came across this one: New Quizzes: Immediate feedback in quizzes - Canvas Community.  If you feel that this Feature Idea aligns with something you would like Instructure to implement in Canvas, you may want to give it a star rating (How do idea conversations work in the Canvas Commu... - Canvas Community) and also leave a comment at the bottom of it letting their engineers know why a feature like this would be important to you in Canvas.

Hi Jeremy, 

I am currently building key feature assessments for my clinical students and I am using classic quizzes. I built out an assignment as a quiz and have selected the option for students to only see one question at a time, and restricted their ability to "go back" once a question is answered. I first tried alternating quesitons of various formats with a question type of "text only" but when the student reads the text only question and hits next they receive an error that says "are you sure you want to go to the next question without answering" (even though it is only text and there is nothing to answer). To get around this I just changed these questions to multiple choice with one answer choice that says "continue" and I've made these worth zero points. 

In this way, students can see the feedback and use the info to make a better choice during the next question/scenario.

I'm curious to see how you eventually solved your issue, wondering if you found a better way?

Hey Erin,

  What I ended up doing was to split each question into its own individual quiz. For example, as the student is "Information Gathering" I will create a 'multiple answer' question and put the results of the specific assessment in the 'general comments' in each key or distractor. (For distractors, if the assessment was unnecessary I just put something like, "physician disagrees"). When the student finishes and submits the single question quiz, they are permitted to see all the answers with the comments attached for each available answer. At the bottom of the multiple answer question, I have another General Comment which is a hyperlink to the next question on the Simulation.

When grading, I have an excel spreadsheet which I use to manually grade the assignment.

I have attached an image of what this looks like. It's a convoluted process that I don't expect others to follow, but it's working right now in our program.
