Possible to download all submissions by section?

I'd like to be able to download student assignment submissions by section rather than all together. This would help me by not having to reorganize files into folders on my computer manually.

For example: I have a Media Production 1 class that has a Period 3 and a Period 4. I want to download only Period 3 or Period 4 assignment submissions rather than downloading both together.

is this possible?

This is interesting. I went into the Gradebook, to Apply Filters then to Sections and picked a section. Then I clicked on the 3 dots next to an assignment and selected Download Submissions. It downloaded all the submissions. I had assumed it would only download the submissions for that section, but I was wrong.

I can see the logic in how Canvas handles this. It would be annoying to go home for the weekend, only to learn you do not have all the submissions on a flash drive when you thought you had them all. But, if you have too many submissions, you can just ignore the extras.
