Opened Account with Wrong Organization Type

Hello.

I opened a Canvas account yesterday for an ESOL course that I will be teaching for our adult education program. However, my homepage looks different than my future co-worker's. Now I see that I opened it with 'K-12' as the organization type, instead of 'further education'. How can I fix this? Would I need to delete the account and open another one with the correct organization type? If so, how can I delete it?

I am not seeing a way to change that organization type once created unfortunately.

It looks like you opened your Free For Teacher account under the K12 Organization Type. To delete this account you would just need to reach out to Canvas Support, asking for it to be deleted.

Try creating a new account at https://www.instructure.com/canvas/try-canvas

Yes, that's how I opened it by mistake. 

I did write to their support department, but it's been over a week and I've yet to hear from anyone about it. All I need it so delete the account so that I can open another one with the correct organization.

No, why they do not offer the simple option of deleting it (as many sites do), is beyond me.
