Next page locked even though all prerequisites are complete

I have several students in the same course that are experiencing this phenomenon where they are being told the next page in the module is locked even though they have completed all the prerequisites. 

There are no dates for waiting to open the pages or anything like that, and the pages have been published. My settings are set up so that students have to go through the module sequentially, but they are doing that. I had the students pull up their computers and I backed up to previous pages in the module and did it myself, clicking Next all the way through. It still wouldn't open the next page. It showed the lock screen but no prerequisites that needed to be completed (see below). This happened to close to a dozen students out of the 100 in that course, the rest were able to move through the course normally, so it is not happening to everyone, and it has never happened before.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Since Community members do not have access to your school's Canvas environment or your Canvas course(s), this is purely a guess on my part.  I do have a handful of questions for you:

• Do all your modules in this course have prerequisites similar to what you've described?
• What is the name of the module where this page, "p 100 - America Progress", is located?
• Is this module before or after the module that appears to be named "E x p a n s i o n"?
• Is it possible that you are using the page "p 100 - American Progress" in multiple modules?

If you could please provide some more details about your module/page setup, I think that would be helpful.  Looking forward to hearing back from you soon!

I had to end up giving up on this assignment for my students that couldn't complete it and just excused it, and then had to remove the Sequential requirement for the rest of the Module for everyone. But in the hopes that I can potentially figure it out in the future, here are the answers to your questions.

• Do all your modules in this course have prerequisites similar to what you've described?
  • Yes, almost all of my modules I have set up so they have to complete the requirements sequentially.
• What is the name of the module where this page, "p 100 - America Progress", is located?
  • This page is within the module titled "E x p a n s i o n". Normally, if there was a component that still needed to be completed within that module, it would be listed underneath where "E x p a n s i o n" is written in blue towards at the bottom. 
• Is this module before or after the module that appears to be named "E x p a n s i o n"?
  • See above, it is within THIS module.
• Is it possible that you are using the page "p 100 - American Progress" in multiple modules?
  • I did double check in Pages, and this is the only one, there are no duplicates.

• You said that your module name is called "E x p a n s i o n".  On your screenshot, there is a message that says, "The following requirements need to be completed before this page will be unlocked:"  Then, it lists the name of the module "E x p a n s i o n".  Have you checked to see what kinds of requirements you have on this module (or any other modules in your course that might be causing this message)?
• For my last question I had previously asked, instead of looking at your "Pages" index page, please look at your "Modules" page.  Are you using the "p 100 - American Progress" page on the "Modules" index page in multiple modules?  Or, is this page in just one module, the "E x p a n s i o n" module?  You would not be able to see what modules this page was being used in on the "Pages" index page.
