New Student - Missing Work

I have a new student who was added to my roster at the end of Q2. Everything assigned to class prior to her enrollment defaults to missing. For Q2, I can go back and edit those to excused. Is there a way I can go in and do that for Q1 -- when I try is says that quarter is locked. Therefore when I pull a missing work report everything assigned to her from Q1 is on it.

Hi @KatherineMedlin,
I would suggest reaching out to your local Canvas Administrator, usually in the IT / eLearning / Digital Education area(s). As an admin, their access will likely get around the quarter locking. I don't think there is a way to unlock a quarter just for you or a single class to do it yourself, so my guess is they'll want to take care of it for you.
