Mystery - Three assignments appeared out of nowhere

There are 3 new assignments in one of my assignment groups.
It is clear I did not create them because
- their names are subject-related but generic
- they are the "no submission" kind
- they are worth 100 points each (others in the category are between 10 and 40)
- they have no due date
- THEY WERE NOT THERE YESTERDAY 😱
It says I cannot unpublish them because students have already submitted work (however there is no way for students to submit work since the assignments are not listed anywhere they have access to and they are 'no submission'). In the grade book, it looks like most students have submitted these assignments. I click on the Speedgrader and get the message "Couldn't find valid settings for this link."
I can delete them... maybe... but I thought the strange occurrence needed to be documented.
