Missing Assignment Counter Gone?!

Last night I was grading and it seems a Canvas update happened. In grade book, I used to be able to clock on a student name and have the individual student pane pop up on the right side, and in that pane I was able to see the last 10 graded assignment's scores AND how many assignments were marked as missing or turned in late. I cannot see that now. Did it move? I use the SO MUCH. If it has been removed, please, please bring it back.

I contacted support. Thanks you @KristinL for the suggestion. I got the following reply from Canvas:

Hello,

I cannot see it as well. I wonder if there was an update that removed it?

That information panel is a part of many instructors' workflow. Have either of you reached out to Canvas Support to have someone take a closer look? It would be great to know whether or not the change was intentional. How do I contact Canvas Support?

Thank you for the suggestion. I was not sure how to contact them because it didn't seem to fit with the auto-generated options I could pick, but I will try that route and see if I get a response. If I do I will post it here.

Please, please, please fix this. It's so very helpful to be able to tell a student "You are missing 5 assignments" without having to actually count the number of missing assignments in the Gradebook (or New Analytics). When something's not "broke," please don't fix it.

Do you know if they are planning to fix this? Or every single teacher will need to submit a ticket?

If you'd like to receive updates, I would suggest creating one on behalf of your school. It sounds like engineers are aware of the issue and are actively working on the issue though!

Hooray! My grading life in my massive online only classes is back to normal.
