Microsoft Collaboration needing authorized?

Hi there,

We are using collaborations with our Microsoft integration. One of our teachers got a message about having to "authorize a collaboration." Our other teachers are not getting that message. Has anyone run across this?

Are you able to share a screenshot of the message? Has the teacher been required to authorize access for one of the users invited to the collaboration? 

If that's the case, is the user in an external Microsoft 365 instance (e.g. user from a different institution that also uses M365)? I recall that when I was doing my graduate degree, our course group could not join the M365 collaboration due to two of the group members attending colleges connected to our university. Therefore we used the Google Drive collaboration option.

Thank you for looking at this. I'll attach a screenshot of the request the instructor got. Both students are enrolled in the class and both emails are their college issued email addresses.
