Labarchives assignment link is erasing my canvas title and description

An assignment is created in canvas and given a title, a description, a due date, and then saved to the course (Before screenshot). Then when editing to use the external tool function inside submission type to link the assignment to a specific labarchives notebook page, and then the canvas assignment is saved, the canvas assignment title and description field are changed to what the labarchives page is numbered and called (After screenshot).
This has never happened before!?
Any help is appreciated as this is very frustrating for our instructor team who needs to use the copy the canvas assignment and then use the external tool submission to link to their own specific course notebooks.

My guess is that this is an issue related to the LTI Deep Linking setting (https://community.canvaslms.com/t5/Canvas-Releases/Canvas-Release-Notes-2023-08-19/ta-p/574012#toc-h...
We found similar behavior with the LTI from a different vendor after this was enabled in our Canvas. Ultimately, the vendor had to fix the issue on their end, but you (or the Canvas administrator) may be able to temporarily get around it by disabling the Deep Linking option in the LTI settings in the developer key.
