Hi we went live with staff and students in canvas this week. In our structure we created Blueprint courses with assignments linked to outcomes. These assignments are the requirements for our credentials.
We created an associated course for each one of these Blueprints, and have a number of sections within this associated course, each of which has its own teacher. We structured it this way because at the end of each year students may change teachers, but need to remain enrolled in the same course retaining all coursework and progress.
Our issue is that the teachers have been duplicating the blueprint assessments and assigning them to their students, making for a chaotic mark-book and causing issues for our credentials. We have advised teachers that they should instead be assigning the blueprint-associated versions to their students and to never make a copy of these assessments.
I can see that only a couple of students have submitted anything yet, but I cannot see a way to work out if any students have started working on the duplicate assignments but not yet submitted. My intention is to delete all of the copies, but I don't want to delete work that the students have started working on, as this is their first interaction with Canvas.
Is there any way to see this, without having to "act as" each student in turn?
