Images do not appear in the quiz. They did initially but not now. Some students had the same issue.
Solved! Go to Solution.
Usually, when images do not appear in a quiz, it is because the permissions on the images do not allow students to see them. The most common reason for this is that the quiz was copied from another course, and the image links in the questions are actually pointing to the images in the previous course, so they are visible to the instructor but not to the students.
When someone reports this kind of problem, my first recommendation is always to have them run the link validator tool ( https://community.canvaslms.com/t5/Instructor-Guide/How-do-I-validate-links-in-a-course/ta-p/1001 ) to be sure that the images are actually accessible to students.
If you have confirmed that the image links are not broken, then the other possibility is just that the image files are large, and that is causing a problem for students with poor network connections.

Just a few of the students could not see the images. I could see the images and even in preview but then the next day I couldn't. I had to change the whole test to not include images. Perhaps the files are too big or too many images?
That might be connection issues, especially if the images are large?
What is considered large for an image?
It depends on what device you are using to view it and how good or bad the network connection is. I would not make them any bigger than 1Mb.
Hi @gng
From the screenshots, it looks like the links to the images are broken or incorrect. As instructor, the first thing I would do is use the link validation tool ( https://community.canvaslms.com/t5/Instructor-Guide/How-do-I-validate-links-in-a-course/ta-p/1001 ) to find broken/unavailable links in the course, then go through and fix them.
